What is Thought Sutra and how does it work?

Thought Sutra is a community marketplace of creative online classes. We help people find their creative calling and register for great workshops. We help artists, both professional and amateur, manage and promote their courses. Our focus is on small-group, live online classes.

You pick courses that you are most excited about and enrol with your preferred payment mechanism and/or the provided gift voucher. Once enrolled, you can visit your Course page to find both the full-class details and a button to directly enter the Microsoft Teams/Zoom meeting.

What are the benefits of Thought Sutra compared to other online learning programs?

Thought Sutra focuses on small-group, live, interactive, online classes, delivering excellent learning experiences. Every educator is screened, background checked, and provided with quality training by our team.

This format provides a high degree of social interaction between learners, educators, and the Thought Sutra community.

What kind of technology and materials do I need?

For our live classes, we encourage all learners to participate in their natural learning environment, using the device of their choice. We recommend attending the classes through a laptop as the experience improves on a bigger screen.

Thought Sutra works on all major web browsers, and we use Microsoft Teams for live video meetings. You can prepare for your first class by downloading Microsoft Teams/Zoom ahead of time.

You’ll need a working webcam and microphone, and a solid internet connection. We encourage you to read up on the course-specific pre-requisites under the ‘Essentials’ heading on the respective course pages and learn more about preparing for your first class.

How many times can I redeem my gift voucher?

You can redeem your gift voucher only once. After you select a course to enrol into, you will be taken to the check-out page where you can input your personalized code that you should have received by email. If you want to do multiple courses, you can add all of them to the cart and avail yourself of a maximum discount as per the voucher on the total billable amount.

How do online classes work?

These are live online classes, meaning they involve set meeting times using Microsoft Teams/Zoom. You’ll get calendar invites for all scheduled sessions. All classes and educators use messaging through Thought Sutra to handle all communication.

What if I miss a class?

No sweat, the recording for all classes will be made available to you for a lifetime.
